It has been a long time since I last wrote a blog. So I'll catch you up with what has happened since I last posted.

 End of July:
The last week in July I went with my youth group to CIY in Missouri. This was my last year to go as a student. It was a very good week. This year the conference was at a different place then has been in years past. It was a Windemere Conference Center. The place was huge!! It is centered around a lake. We had to walk at least one mile to eat at the cafeteria and a mile back to our dorms. Luckly the main building that had all the main sessions in was right next to our dorms. In our rooms there were 4 bunk bed; 7girls and 1 adult sponsor. I loved my room mates. :) Over all the week was AMAZING!! I wish I could keep going back every year.

My Lovely Roomies!!

When I got back from CIY, I crashed. We had gotten up at 3 in the morning to leave at 4 and be back at home by lunch. So, I crashed and was out. Over that week, I got two things from Northeast ( the college I'm going to). One was a bill and the other was a post card saying that I had got two grants and that I needed to accept them. So my final cost for my first semester at school was under $250!!! This was a total releaf for me because I wasnt sure how I was gonna pay for school.

August:
My dear boyfriend moved back home the first week. It has been nice having him home. He moved back because his schooling in North Carolina wasnt what it seemed it would be. So it hs been nice having him home. On the 16th I started college. I like that I dont have to be at school the whole day. My major is music education. I was wanting to emphaise on strings beings I play the cello but now I am kind of thinking about elementary music now. Oh! the college Im going to is Northeast Community College in Norfolk. I have a couple music classes, an english class, and a math class. I am also taking a piano lessons for the first time. I have always wanted to learn but never have.

I hope to keep this blog posted more than I have.

Love,
Donna Jean

The Summer So Far...

This summer so far I have been on 2 trips. The first was at the end of May and I went to Minneapolis/ St. Paul with the orchestra. My second trip was this past weekend. I went with my boyfriend's parents, aunt, and cousins to Newton, Iowa, to see him. He has been helping out an Arca Series team in North Carolina and he was going to be with them in Iowa for a race. So, I went and saw him for the first time in 6 months!! It only took us about 4 1/2 hours because his dad has bad road rage and was going 5 above speed limit on the interstate, lol!!

Here are a few pictures...

All of us except for my boyfriend went to Pella, Iowa, Friday to kill time until we got to go pick him up. He was with the team because they were doing race stuff. Pella is a Dutch town and this is a wind mill.

Then we went to Red Rock. Which is a big lake that has a dam that enters into a river. The water in the lake was very high so they were letting water out. It was cool :)

This is a look out tower that you can walk up and see Red Rock Lake.

The view from the tower :)

My favorite picture of all time!! He is wearing my sunglasses and Im wearing his. :)

I thought I had my camera with me at the Arca race but I acciedently left it in the van. So, I couldn't get any of the race. :(

The Past 4 Days...

Thursday night/early Friday morning my car was involved in a hit and run. I was not in my car at the time because I was slepping. Some drunk or some very aware person hit the back end of my car smashing my bumper. :(

:(

:( Whoever hit it slammened into my rear end and messed up my trunk. I tried starting my car but it doesnt turn over. There is and inertia button in my trunk that shuts off the fuel pump in an accidnet. So we cant get into my trunk to push the button and now Im left driving the pick up. I hope the cops find the person who did this so they can buy me a car!!!

For Sunday supper we made chicken fajitas!!!!!

The Shells

The chicken...

Green Peppers, Yellow Peppers, Onions, and Chicken....

Yum :) Cheese, Sour Cream, and Dorthy Lynch!!

Graduation...

WOW!! So Im an offical graduate of Norfolk High School. I cant believe how fast it came even though I wanted the day to come, I'm sad that it is all over with. The ceremony even went fast. I'll just tell all about it.

Sunday morning I woke up and got ready for church. I wore the dress I wore to prom and blue flip flops. I grabbed my graduation gown and cap to take with us because we wouldn't be coming home till later. We went to church and after church we went and ate at Godfather's. It was good pizza. I had to be at Memorial Field by 1:30 so that I could get in my spot. We got over to the field by 12:30 so that my family could get a good place to sit and to save spots because my grandparents were gonna be there and my cousin Michael was coming up from Lincoln. I had a little time on my hands so I called my boyfriend who wished that he was there but he couldn't be because he wasn't able to come home from North Carolina. We talked for awhile. It came to the time when I needed to be in my spot so I put some sunscreen on and put my gown on and walked over to where I needed to be. My classmates and I stood around beeming with excitement. I was trying not to cry because it was sad that this was the last time my whole class was gonna be together. My row and seat was, row 6 seat 12. :P We walked onto the field and the band played Pomp and Circomstance. Then the band played the national anthem. My principal talked for a bit then the superintendent and then finally the top 3 kids in my class talked. Their speeches were good and meaningful. I actually paid attention to them. Then next came the time when we got out 'diplomas'. We only got the cover to them because if any of us did anything inappropriate then we wouldn't get our diploma. Names were being called and it didn't take very long because before I knew it my row was standing up getting ready to have our name called. Then suddenly I was the next in line and Mr. Mortan, the principal, said my name, Donna Jean Noble and I shook a few hands and grabbed my fake diploma. After I got it my eyes got all teary. I got my carnation and walked back to my seat. I had finally graduated!!!!!! Crazy!!!!!!!! I can't believe that it is over. After the ceremony, I went and got my camera to take pictures with my friends. I got a few pictures and then waited for the parking lot to clear out. I got a picture of me and my parents to put in a frame to keep. Then my family, grandparents, and cousin went to Village Inn to eat.

I still can't believe that I have graduated from high school!!!

Senior Banquet

Tonight was the annual Senior Banquet for youth group. There was only a group of 8 of us there. I haven't really talked to many of my friends from youth group lately. I have kind of grown apart from them because of our different interests and friends. My last few years in high school have been spent with some underclassmen. I dont doubt still being close to them because people grow apart. The one thing we all have in common still is that we all love Jesus Christ and that will never seperate us. It's sad getting old but everyone has to some time, I guess. I have 7 days left of school!!!! Graduation is just around the corner.

Books

Lately I have been trying to read a book every 3 weeks depending on what I have going on.
The last book I read was Eli the Good by Silas House. It was a good book. The book was about a little 10 year old boy and his summer. This book has been one of my favorites throughout this year. I have read many more books but I cant quite remember all the titles.
The book that Im currently reading is called The Reading Group by Elizabeth Noble. I know what you may be thinking but I am not related to this lady. She is from England not Missouri. I just started this book and it is good so far.

Well I know I haven't blogged in a while but I've been sort of busy and lazy. Mostly lazy.
My days at Norfolk High School are winding down and I have mixed emotions of not being there anymore. I'm excited to finally graduate and I'm also kinda sad because that means I'm growing up (lol). I have a total of 10 full school days left starting Monday, April 26th. I will be graduating with my classmates on May 16th. This is soo exciting but scary at the same time.

This past week I have worked 2 nights and both those times I had to work drive thru for my whole shift. It completly sucked because we were busy. The first night wasnt as busy as the second night because the second night there was a big concert at the Johnny Carson. After that concert everybody decided they wanted to come visit me :) lol Well it wasnt a good visit.

Then tomorrow is district music contest at school. My mom is waking me up at 5 so she can curl my hair. I'm just wanting it to be over with so I can relax.

It has been awhile

I know it has been awhile since my last blog. Lots has happend since then.
Last weekend was Easter. So, my family and I went down to Missouri to celebrate with my dad's side of the family. We left Friday afternoon, after my brother got off work. I was soo lucky, I got to drive all the way to Fremont. I haven't really drove on the highway before, just small trips from Norfolk to Staton. After we made it to Fremont, Patrick took over the driving and I sat in the backseat and watched the movie Marie Antoninette. I liked that movie, it was interesting. That night we ate at a Bob Evan's in St. Jo, MO. It was good food. I had a pulled pork bbq sandwich and we ordered some very good desert. They were apple pie fries with carmel sauce, soo good!!! We then went to Excelsior Springs, which was where our hotel was. The family stayed at The Elms hotel. It is an old hotel but it is huge!!! The next day we ate breakfast with my Aunt Barb at thee best place EVER, a Waffle House. I love that place. I had a very yummy and sweet chocolate chip waffle with a side of hashbrowns. That meal was soo yummy :) From there we stopped at a Walmart then headed to go visit my dad's uncle and his wife. After that we went over to my grandparents. My grandma gave us kids these nice blankets. We had our Easter supper there in that town (Lawson). There we had it at a community room so that my grandparents would'nt have to travel far. After we had packed up the room and cleaned it. From there we all (except my grandparents) headed out to my Aunt Debbie's house. My cousin, her boyfriend, and her friend taught my aunts some college drinking games. Im not a fan of alcohol so I ended up talking to my boyfriend for most of the time that night. The weekend ended with my family going to chuch Easter morning at my grandparent's church in Rayville. It was a very nice weekend. The weather was beatiful and it was just nice to get out of Nebraska.:) On the way back to Norfolk, we stopped in Omaha at a Sear's and I got my prom dress, finally.
This isnt the best picture because I dont know how to take pictures and send them from my phone. But you can check out my facebook page. :) Im thinking about getting a pair of yellow coverse high tops to wear with it. No one said I had to wear heels or anything to that sort :)

blah blah blah

So, I have decided to change my picture on my title every week and to write a little bit about the picture. This picture is from my friend Alex. She is a foreign exchange student from France. I really don't have much to say anymore. My life is boring and I am exhausted.

New Blog

Well, the other day I tried looking at my blog page and it wouldn't stay at the page. So I asked for some help from a very computer savy guy at school and he said that someone had hacked onto my page. Now Ive had to start all over with it. :( Oh, well.
